This one hour webinar will provide a basic introduction to the Brussels II Regulation.
First it will give an overview on how does the Brussels IIbis Regulation build on the 1980 Hague Convention on the Civil aspects of international child abduction.
Secondly it will explain the obligation of prompt return and the corresponding provisions on jurisdiction and taking provisional measures.
Thirdly it will explain the recognition and enforcement rules of the instrument and
finally it will discuss the cooperation between EU central authorities.
